Solar Energy R&D Seminar in The Netherlands, 29 SeptemberThe global PV market has grown strongly in the last years; there is a huge potential for the Dutch industry. To keep up with the global growth we need to invest in the knowledge infrastructure and domestic market for PV in the Netherlands. Knowledge sharing and cross-fertilisation among the various R&D areas are essential components, and play an important role during the Dutch Solar Energy R&D Seminar 2010. You are warmly invited to attend this seminar on Wednesday 29 September 2010 in Utrecht. (Source : ECN)
Feds fail to use land for solar powerNot a light bulb's worth of solar electricity has been produced on the millions of acres of public desert set aside for it. U.S. Navy gets solar power for Slow Moving electric VehiclesThe U.S. Navy has been roaring into the sustainable future with test flights for a biofuel-powered fighter jet, and now it's going to the opposite end of the speed scale with a fleet of solar powered vehicles in the "Slow Moving Vehicles" category, meaning they have a top speed of 25 mph. The SMV's, as they are affectionately known, are being deployed through the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida.
